One day they saw it for the first time – far out to the west at the horizon of the Great Ocean. A dark and mysterious FOG. It was slowly approaching their home, the beautiful and lonely island Zerados in the Great Ocean and the home of many people like the Xamas, Yamati, Yadeles and Xonda.

Slowly it crawled forward until it finally reached their island. What is in or behind The FOG is unknown. Nobody that ever went into The FOG to explore it – courageous warriors, wise elders and even some of their leaders – or who gotten swallowed by it, ever returned.

Bit by bit the FOG crawled over the huge island in the last weeks and swallowed everything and everyone on its path without mercy. All people were forced to leave their homes and they all were driven to the very east of the island. There in the last town Zuarell by the Xappalis Bay all people built hastily boats to hopefully still escape the FOG. Their last and only hope lies in an ancient tale, which over generations and centuries has been passed on about their original home Yamagi, the magic land. Somewhere very far to the east it shall lie.

They thought they had a few days left in which they could embark organized. But suddenly the FOG speeds up and everyone – leaders, wise men, sailors, warriors and the commoners – just start running in pure panic and regardless of others over the beach towards the boats to hopefully somehow reach the boats before the FOG reaches them.
